Help the fella’s fit in with a few masculine touches that will ease the nerves.

A canoe is a great way to keep drinks cool and on display for a relaxed water-side rehearsal party.

A cigar bar or a small scale swivel bar is a great way to give the groom’s guys their bonding time.

Happy Planning!

Foodie Fridays: Quinoa Fried Rice

The weekend is when we’re most likely to dig into something that isn’t as “healthy” as our daily planned meals throughout the work week. Which is why we’ve found something that tastes naughty but really is quite nice! Quinoa fried rice… a much healthier, more nutritious alternative.

RECIPE VIA | COOKING FOR KEEPS

  • ½ teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 eggs, lightly scrambled (still raw)
  • ½ cup frozen peas, thawed

BEAUTY EDIT: Lips

Let's talk lipstick.

Are you the every day type who throws on a swish of her favorite hue before stepping out of the house in the morning? Or do you save that suave look for special occasions, such as date night, ladies luncheons and weekend shenanigans?

__________________________

Whatever your lipstick habits, the key to this post is that you find the right shade to suit you. Every girl should have a timeless pair of black heels, a blazer she can throw on to go to a meeting or pair with jeans for a dressed up look, a pair of sunglasses that compliment her face shape and last but certainly not least, a rouge lipstick to upgrade even the most casual ensembles.

NOTE: When you're planning for "the big day" - and that doesn't just have to be your wedding, it could be your engagement party, birthday, or a big date - test out a few different colours based on what kind of look you are going for. A bold red will read just that, bold. Meanwhile a more pink hue will look romantic and sweet without being overbearing.

The Hollywood Bra Debate

It's come to our attention lately that a new unforeseen trend has emerged out of Hollywood.... Celebrities have some how decided that bras are just unnecessary "accessories" that should be avoided all together. We've seen it on the red carpet with Anne Hathaway...

But now this horrific sight has translated into an everyday "a-okay" thing to do. We, on the other hand, do not agree. Note, Miley Cyrus (Disney star is all we can think when we hear her name) has taken on this "bye-bye-bra" trend, among others from the young Hollywood set, such as Rihanna and Victoria Secret model and fiancé to Adam Levine, Behati Prinsloo. Honestly, Prinsloo has no excuse, yes the woman may have a stunning body, but imagine the amount of bras she must be hoarding as an Angel

Miley Cyrus - Just don't.

How could we forget this one? Rihanna

Behati Prinsloo
Woman, you've got more bras than a department store... put one on!

Ladies, it's ok to want to let the girls roam free if you will, but, if you're planning to do so atleast throw on a pair of Nippies and tame the darts. Meanwhile we're big believers in diminishing VPL and VBL, nipping is also frowned upon. The Nüdwear Nippies allow you to have the comfort of being braless meanwhile hiding the evidence! Keep it under control. There's a time and a place.... for everything.

THE CITY SET: Top Tips on Beating the Summer Heat

Setting our sights on the fast pace fashionable cities of the world, we take a look at what the do's and don'ts of New York, London and Dubai's fashion set are. These women set stride looking poised, polished, and spot on trend in the dead summer heat - How do they do it?

Let's find out...

"I got a haircut that put in a few more layers into my long hair to make it feel lighter (and slightly cooler), but allowed me to still keep my hair long. "

"With the humidity and heat during NY summers you can rarely have a good hair day. One way to turn the messy frizz into a fun look is putting leave in conditioner in your locks for a "surf babe do"!
The key is to wear airy and loose fabrics that won't show sweat marks or wrinkle, plus a slightly more relaxed fit tends to make one look slimmer. Linen and lycra based pieces tend to work great!
For the face, blotting sheets keep the shine at bay. Extra layers of powder just give a cakey look which looks extra heavy with the heat. Less is more when it comes to a fresh face in the summer."

"I walk a lot in the summer so try to always carry a bottle of water with me, I up the daily sunscreen factor to 50+ (am a big fan of La Roche Posays liquid sunscreen, which feels like water) and I wear a hat to keep the sun off my face. I also stick to open toed shoes, light colored and thin cotton or linen fabrics, and wear extra light lingerie by Nudwear to keep me cool and VPL free!"

"Four tips get me through my summers in London... I carry a bottle of sparking water with with me wherever I go - a refreshing and nice alternative to drink, rather than tap/still water. I wear a bright lipstick in the evening as it detracts from the sweat on my face. I carry Dyptique solid perfume with me it's small and smells great! I always carry 2 pairs of shoes with me (flats + high heels) so I am never caught off-guard. My favourite trick is to wear long earrings to take attention away from my sweaty face, alternatively I opt for large statement necklaces."
