WEDDING PLANNING

WEDD'S-DAY 4.0

A numbers game, share your special moments with guests and they’ll be just as swept away on your day as you two are! A play by play with dates that outline your love story will not only be great for guests, it will be adorable in pictures years to come.

Table numbers are turned into dates and significant numbers that have impacted the two of your lives. Guests will eat it up! This will give each table something to toast to around the room and break the ice for new friendships to forge.

(Add details about the table #'s significance below the number - or however you see fit!)

WEDD'S-DAY 3.0: Weddings On The Beach

Weddings On The Beach:

Ever attend a beach wedding and as you're getting ready think... hmmm what shoes do I wear? Heels will sink, wedges are clunky and usually not dressy enough and sandals just seem too casual bejewelled or not!

Well... while planning your OWN beach wedding - think ahead for your guests and make it easier on them. We have two ways you can do that effortlessly...

The Nudwear Pinterest

At The Ceremony:

Lighten up the load for guests by organizing a shoe shelf at the entry way to the beach. With a "shoe check" there assisting guests and suggesting they remove their shoes, everyone will be more comfortable!

The Nudwear Pinterest

At The Reception:

It never fails. Once dinner is over and the drinks are consumed, somewhere between cocktails and dessert, the ladies start to complain about their feet aching and just begin begging to kick their heels off. Some are smart enough to bring their own set of back up sandals in their clutch (should it be big enough) while others will feel obliged to keep their heels on, determined not to destroy their ensemble.

What to do?

Leave a basket by the dance floor suggesting that ladies kick back, relax and have a good time in a pair of flip flops! Look to the dollar store, and party magazines for a bulk buy and tie each pair with a size tag included so guests can grab their size without digging!

WEDD'S-DAY 2.0: The Guest Book

Ever wonder what you'll do with your guest book years to come? Most likely, most will keep it saved on their bookshelves and every once in a blue moon pull it out to re-read the sweet messages from all of the friends and family who attended the wedding. Meanwhile, others will completely forget it even exists, or where it is stored in their house.

fun modern alternative? Go with a theme, a favourite game or even a quirky something-or-another that you and your beau would love to see on display in your home.

We love the idea of Jenga game pieces... Not only does this fun game work perfectly as a blank slate to keep sweet words from your guests, it may just encourage you to spend more one on one time with your new hubby!

When your friends travel around the world to attend your wedding, why not use that as inspiration to create a completely unique guest book that is better than a signed baseball? Whether your have an eclectic home and can fit this 3-D guestbook anywhere or work it strategically into your office or "man-cave" we love the fact that the symbolism of this guest book serves two purposes!

Have any other ideas on what ways you can make your guest book more unique? Send us your thoughts or personal experiences to info@nudwear.com to be featured in our Wedd's-Day re-occuring feature on Living The Nud Life!

WEDD'S-DAY 1.0: Masculine Touches

Help the fella’s fit in with a few masculine touches that will ease the nerves.

A canoe is a great way to keep drinks cool and on display for a relaxed water-side rehearsal party.

A cigar bar or a small scale swivel bar is a great way to give the groom’s guys their bonding time.

Happy Planning!

ENGAGED? // Now what?

Nudwear Fan & Friend - Engaged Thursday August 22, 2013

You've got the ring…and you’ve got the guy – congratulations!
Now, here’s what to do once you’ve bagged your sparkler
1. Make an announcement. This is important news and not to be distributed lightly, so a Facebook update just won’t do. Categorise your family and friends and call them in order, then move on to the wider circle of people who will want to hear the news directly from you. Only then should you go online.
2. Get a manicure. Everyone, and we mean EVERYONE, will want to see that ring, so make sure your hand is in top condition – so that means manicures and hand moisturising to the max. Also ensure the ring size is correct – it makes a big difference.
3. Get your ring insured. Nothing can replace the sentimental value your dazzler now embodies, but you’ll have peace of mind knowing that if the worst happens, you can get a replacement.
4. Perfect the proposal story. You’ll be asked the same question over and over again. So embrace it and fine-tune your romantic tale.
5. Estimate a date. Usually the very next question after the proposal story is: “When’s the big day then?” Even if you just name the month or in some cases year when you potentially want to tie the knot, it means guests can start making plans.
6. Get creative. It’s time to let your mind run wild with exciting ideas. Pinterest is great for inspiration.
7. Get serious. Once you’ve had a bit of time to dream about your perfect wedding, it’s time to come back down to reality and get on with the nitty gritty. Draw up an estimated guest list and decide your budget, which will lead to decisions on the venue.
8. Start saving. It’s time to have the talk with whoever will be funding the wedding. Remain realistic.
9. Create a wedding blog. Keep everyone in the know and get them excited for the upcoming nuptials by starting a blog or creating a Facebook page. Include information on the wedding date and venue. This way you avoid being pestered with questions from guests.
10. Relax with your fiancé. Take a deep breath and remember why you’re getting married.
WE WISH YOU THE BEST AND NOTHING LESS!
